First Baptist Church, Garden Lakes is a missions-minded church that is involved in missions locally and internationally. We presently offer support to Legacy Baptist Church in Goodyear, Arizona. We have also helped build churches in Sanoyta, Mexico, Huehuetanongo, Guatemala, and in Mombasa, Kenya.

Please welcome back 14 of our church members who headed to Haiti for a Mission Trip. They conducted two Vacation Bible Schools in two of the mission schools. There were appoximately 100 children who attended each VBS for a week.

The team also did two rice distributions in which each child in the schools where they conducted the VBS received 15 pounds of rice for the family. The team also presented a 5,500 watt generator to one of the churches which will enable them to have services at night, and to use electronic muscial instruments for worship. The clinic shelves were also stocked with more than 400 bottles of Tylenol which will aid in ministry to the many people who come to the clinic each day.

Though it was the mission team who had the hands-on experience, you, as members of the church, also played a very significant role through your giving and participation in the many fund rasiers we had.
