Every believer in Jesus Christ is a member of the family of God! This one thing we are assured of because John 1:12 tells us "But as man as received Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons of God; even to them that believe on His name."

Though one may be a member of God's extended family, we believe that it is also important for one to be a member of the local church. There we find fellowship, love, and encouragement from others who share our faith in Christ. Becoming a member of First Baptist Church is as easy as 1-2-3:

1. Profession of Faith and Baptism - Believing in your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of sinful men, you can publicly profess Him as Savior and Lord. Then, as an act of ocedience, submit to believer's baptism of immersion.
   
   
2. Statement of Faith - Having already been a member of a congregation of like faith, doctrine, and practice; and having been baptized with the believer's baptism of immersion, one can simply make a statement of their faith in Christ and request church membership.
   
   
3. Transfer of Letter - Having been amember of a local church of like faith and denomination, one can simply ask for a transfer of their church letter from the church of previous membership.

Our doors, as well as our hearts, are open to receive new members into the 'First Family.' We are a body of believers united in love and service to Christ, and to one another.
