Welcome to First Baptist Church Garden Lakes! We exist to glorify the triune God by proclaiming the excellencies of Him who called us out of darkness and into His marvelous light. We gather together weekly on Sunday mornings to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ for His Person and work concerning our salvation. Our mission is simple: Worship God, Study the truth of His message, and Share His Love. This means you can expect to find people worshiping God through prayers, Scripture reading, singing of songs, offerings, observance of the ordinances, and expository preaching. Please come and join us each Sunday as we gather together to fellowship with our God and each other, being equipped to go and serve our neighbor.

Avondale Christian Preschool, as a ministry of First Baptist Church Garden Lakes, is a center of academic excellence, offering a positive and caring environment for learning. Avondale Christian Preschool is a place where children have the opportunity to develop social behaviors, moral values, and Godly principles. We serve ages 6 weeks to 12 years, Monday-Friday, 6am to 6pm.

We provide Children’s Sunday School at 9:30 am in building A, room #4 (front building on Southside). Your children will be taught from the Bible a lesson to learn about salvation found only in Jesus Christ. Bring your child to be discipled in a safe and loving environment each Sunday morning. Each Sunday (except the 5th Sunday) at 11:00 am we dismiss our children from the worship service to be escorted over to room #4 and taught a Bible lesson. We call this time Children’s Church. We use The Biggest Story Curriculum to teach your children about Jesus Christ and we also utilize the The New City Catechism to increase their knowledge of God, man, Jesus, and salvation.
Because we take child safety very seriously, all potential volunteers must complete a background check, through our church office, and meet with our ministry leaders prior to serving our children.
